Madeira trip

Caniçal

I’ll take you to the island 🌴

Full of greenery, lush vegetation, and unique trails. A small island, an ideal place for photographers to create the frames of a lifetime. Madeira literally showers you with its abundance of beautiful nature at every step.

What will our adventure look like?

We will bathe in the warm sea, on the beautiful Praia de Seixal with black sand. This place has amazing light, I will probably be able to arrange a photo session for one of you.

I could probably write an entire novel about the Fanal forest. Amazing place, located between the Seixal and Ribeira da Janela mountains. Madeira was once completely covered with such trees. That’s why I’m glad I could touch it and feel the magic of this place. There were several approaches to shooting in Fanal. The first time, we got there for sunset and I didn’t take out my camera and take any photos. What I saw was almost unreal, I stood there and fed my eyes and soul. When I returned there with the plan, we found neither the fog nor the light from the previous evening. I walked around and looked at each of the trees. Every time of the day is beautiful there because the branches of these unique trees create amazing shadows!
Sometimes we felt like we were in some game.. When you rush to Fanal a few days later because it’s starting to get foggy from your observations, the forest is absolutely quiet and there are clear blue skies! Even though two km earlier, due to fog, you can barely see the road 😉 These photos were taken completely spontaneously, on the last day of our stay in Madeira. Returning from hiking, we exchanged glances in the car and turned onto the route leading to the forest. There were no preparations. No clothes or thermos of tea. I knew the light would change quickly. I chose trees and frames and we worked quickly.
Drones were flying above us and tourists were walking in the distance. This combination of characters with such an old, beautiful tree is unique to me. There is great power in this! Nature 💚

Where are we staying?

A beautiful flat on the hill, with a swimming pool. Surrounded by jungle. I call it jungle ;)  More information soon.

What can we do?

Depending on the length of our stay, the island offers plenty of beautiful hiking trails. I think we’ll manage to do 2-5, but one is a must!
